Dr.Maija Karklina graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Riga Medical Institute in 1987, obtaining her medical degree and beginning her practice as a district physician in a polyclinic.
She specialized in psychotherapy at the RSU Faculty of Continuing Education and, in 2011, obtained a certification from the Latvian Medical Association, granting her the right to practice as a psychotherapist. In addition to her work at the clinic, she also practices psychotherapy at RAKUS.
During consultations, patients have the opportunity to address psychosomatic complaints, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, workplace or personal conflicts, and vegetative dystonia.
Dr. Kārkliņa provides support in various crises, including for patients and their loved ones facing oncological illnesses.
