Dr. Ilze Madara Bruvere.
Resident doctor at the RSU Clinic of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy.
Dr. Bruvere obtained her medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Riga Stradiņš University. In addition to her classical medical studies, she chose to expand her knowledge of pediatric diseases, their treatment, and prevention by enrolling in the Pediatrics program.
During her studies, she developed a strong interest in mental health and led the RSU Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy Student Research Group. She has also conducted research exploring the correlation between burnout severity and prevalence with symptoms of depression, anxiety, and self-esteem levels in mothers.
She believes that psychotherapy can bring significant benefits and improve the quality of life for anyone willing to engage in the process. She sees respectful and empathetic doctor-patient relationships as the foundation of effective psychotherapy, providing a safe space for patients to explore and heal.
“Let everything happen to you,
Beauty and terror,
Just keep going,
No feeling is final.”
