Dr. Madara Ieva Zilgalve.
Resident doctor in psychotherapy at the RSU Clinic of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy.
Dr. Zilgalve obtained her medical degree from Riga Stradiņš University. During her studies, she worked in various healthcare fields and actively participated in multiple student research groups, including Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, Dermatovenerology, Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Through this experience, she observed how physical health, chronic and acute illnesses, work environment, and lifestyle interact with mental health.
Throughout her studies and residency, she has come to appreciate the importance of self-awareness, self-understanding, and self-acceptance in the healing process. She believes that fostering a harmonious relationship with oneself and the world leads to improved physical and emotional health, ultimately enhancing overall quality of life.
