Dr. Sindija M. Pilaga.
Resident doctor in psychotherapy at the RSU Clinic of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy.
Dr. Pilaga obtained her medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Riga Stradiņš University.
During her studies, she developed a strong interest in mental health, actively participating in the RSU Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy Student Research Group. She conducted research on anxiety among students and has authored and co-authored several international studies on mental health, anxiety, depression, and conspiracy theories within the student community during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was also actively involved in the Latvian Medical Students Association, serving as both a board member and vice president.
She believes that psychotherapy brings positive changes not only to the brain but also to the body, improving emotional and behavioral well-being. It helps uncover and treat the root causes of problems, leading to greater overall well-being.
